1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit so that the experience is consistent across page loads.
We also use similar technologies such as local storage and session tokens. This policy covers all such technologies collectively.
2. Cookies We Use
We do not set any cookies on this website. Both analytics tools we use — Vercel Analytics and Umami — are cookieless by design. We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or any third-party retargeting technology.
2.1 Strictly Necessary — Vercel (No Cookies)
Vercel Analytics (our hosting provider) collects aggregated, cookieless traffic statistics — page views, referrers, and approximate country of origin — using techniques that do not require cookies and do not track individuals. No cookie is set. No personal data is collected. No consent required.
2.2 Analytics — Umami (No Cookies)
We use Umami, an open-source analytics tool we run ourselves (self-hosted, not a third-party SaaS), to understand how visitors use this site and which parts of the page get interacted with — for example, which button was clicked. Umami is cookieless:
- No cookie is set, and no persistent identifier is stored in your browser
- Same-day visitor counting uses a salted hash of your IP address and browser, discarded and regenerated every 24 hours — it cannot identify you across days or be reversed to your IP
- Pages visited, referrers, and interaction events are recorded in aggregate, without any personal identifier
No consent is required, since no cookie or persistent identifier is used. Legal basis: legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in understanding how the site is used, so we can improve the product presentation.
3. What We Do Not Use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, etc.)
- No social media tracking buttons or embedded feeds
- No cross-site tracking of any kind
- No persistent cross-visit fingerprinting — Umami's daily visitor hash is discarded and regenerated every 24 hours
4. How to Control Cookies
Browser settings
All modern browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies. Since no analytics cookie is set on this site, blocking cookies in your browser has no effect on Vercel Analytics or Umami. If you want to prevent analytics collection entirely, use a tracker/script blocker (uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, browser tracking protection) — this will stop the Umami script from loading. Either way, it will not affect the functionality of the website.
5. Third-Party Links
This website may link to external services (Steam, Paddle, YouTube demo videos, etc.). Those sites have their own cookie policies which we do not control and are not responsible for.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the tools we use or in applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
